The Mandarin Oriental in New York is set to debut 42 restyled one- and two-bedroom suites ready for the summer.
Created by HOK, the 42 new-look suites sit on each corner of the hotel’s floors and are designed and structured to emphasize the views from the hotel’s location at Columbus Circle, overlooking Central Park, the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline.
They have been designed in three themes and palettes - New York Sunrise, New York Dusk and New York Nights - and each suite is now intended to evoke the feeling of a gallery space in tribute to the many art experiences and museums in New York.
Curated by Rare Culture, the suites feature original works by emerging New York-based and New York-inspired artists that complement each suite’s overall theme.
Each of the suites now features Samsung 55-inch Smart LED televisions in both the living rooms and bedrooms, Harman Kardon sound systems with Bluetooth capabilities as well as built-in connectivity panels in the living room desks.
The hotel has 244 rooms and suites and nights at the new suites will cost from $1,795 (approx £1,165).
