Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire is now selling an intimate tour of Highclere Castle taken by the owner herself, the eighth Countess of Carnarvon.
Visitors will encounter centuries-old works of art, architecture and interior design, and a permanent Egyptian exhibit on the fifth Earl of Carnarvon’s discovery of King Tutankhamen’s tomb.
There will also be an opportunity to explore the gardens with Highclere’s head gardener and enjoy an afternoon tea in one of the castle’s State Rooms.
After the tour, customers will be driven by a chauffeur back to the hotel in a vintage Rolls-Royce for a four-course menu of original Highclere Castle recipes prepared by executive chef Paolo Bellini.
The experience is subject to availability, must be booked at least three months in advance, and costs £22,500 for one double room.
