The low-cost carrier paid £36 million for the slots, which were sold off by the official receiver KPMG UK following Cook’s failure in September.
Included among the slots that easyJet now controls are 15 daily summer pairs at Gatwick, which account for 3.5% of the airport’s capacity.
EasyJet was just one of a number of airlines reported in October to be bidding for Cook’s now vacant slots across the UK.
Other airlines named in the list included British Airways owners IAG, Virgin Atlantic and Wizz Air.
