Wood is a best-selling author, photographer and filmmaker who has trekked the globe.
His expeditions include walking the 4,250-mile length of the Nile; a six-month, 1,700-mile journey from Afghanistan to Bhutan; walking 1,800 miles from Mexico to Colombia; and hitchhiking the Silk Road.
Juliette Losardo, exhibition director of WTM London, said: “Levison will be joining us at to inspire our audiences and explain why ‘off-the-beaten-track’ experiences have a firm place in the future of leisure tourism.
“He has also demonstrated how a passion for travel can be a force for good – furthering one’s understanding of the world and the many different cultures that inhabit it.”
Wood’s recent book, The Art of Exploration, details lessons from the road and how everyone can benefit from “applying the philosophy of travel and the art of exploration to our normal everyday routines”.
The three-day WTM London exhibition will be held from 7-9 November at ExCeL, with Wood appearing on the Monday from 12.15pm to 1.15pm.
