Aiming to capitalise on the islands being added to the government’s quarantine-free travel corridor list, three-times-weekly Tenerife flights will get under way on Saturday (31 October).
A twice-weekly Fuerteventura service will launch a day later on Sunday (1 November).
Fares lead in from £26.99pp.
Wizz’s Tenerife route will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and its Fuerteventura service on Mondays and Fridays.
It follows the launch of Wizz’s Gatwick base, and grows the budget carrier’s route network at Gatwick to 11.
Owain Jones, Wizz Air UK managing director, said: “At Gatwick, we have just commenced flights to Athens, Naples, Malta and Lanzarote – and now we are offering passengers in the south east even more low-fare connections to their favourite holiday destinations.
“The Canary Islands of Fuerteventura and Tenerife have it all, with year-round sunshine, striking natural beauty and plenty to explore, from pretty port towns to national parks.”
