The bosses of the eight-agency chain jetted off to South Africa for filming of the Channel 5 show’s fourth episode, going undercover as sous chefs during a cooking challenge.
In this British edition of the popular US show, personal trainer Alex must date a variety of women with the aim of finding his true love.
Described by their brother as “good judges of character”, Nick and Chris were tasked with interacting incognito with contestants to see how they behaved when Alex was not around.
After being Alex’s “eyes and ears”, they imparted advice on which contestant they believed best suited him for a relationship.
“It was all a bit of a whirlwind,” Nick told TTG. “It was great to be able to support Alex and [it was] fun pretending to be chefs – we can cook, but not to that standard.
“The reaction from the industry has been very kind. Plenty of Facebook messages and texts saying we came across positively.
“They really should do The Bachelor for the over-40s – I’d be up for that.”
Nick said Baldwins had been tailoring its social media posts to promote the experiences seen on the show, but admitted “Chris and I haven’t been stopped in the street... thank God”.
He also revealed parents Ron, chairman of Baldwins Travel Group, and Sally would also be featuring in an upcoming episode.
