Recovering and succeeding in a post Covid-19 world is at the heart of the Aviation Festival’s programme, which sees 120 speakers from the world’s largest airlines, airports, TMCs, OTAs and travel technology companies.
In advance of the Rethink Rebuild Recover-themed festival from 23-35 September, TTG Media will host the Racial Diversity in Travel & Aviation seminar tomorrow (2 September) and a Resetting and Rebuilding panel on 7 September.
Access to the events is open to those with Aviation Festival tickets.
The diversity and inclusion panel will be led by TTG Media group editor Pippa Jacks, and will cover racial diversity in the travel and aviation sectors – how the sectors score on genuine diversity, what steps can be taken to drive up more inclusion, and why this matters.
Jacks will be joined by Zina Bencheikh, managing director of Intrepid Group; Elliott Goldstein, managing partner at MBS Group; Alessandra Alonso, ambassador for BAME Women In Travel and founder, Women In Travel CIC; and Patricia Charlery-Leon, director UK and Europe, St Lucia Tourism Authority.
For the Resetting and Rebuilding panel on 7 September, TTG Media CEO Daniel Pearce will be joined by Lee Haslett, vice-president of sales, marketing and operations, Virgin Atlantic; Gerard Brown, founder, Low Season Traveller; and Tolene Van Der Merwe, director, UK & Ireland, Malta Tourist Office.
The Covid-19 crisis has been a huge “off button” for the travel industry in 2020. But every “off button” can be turned on again. The panel will discuss what kind of industry will emerge from the crisis, and in what ways can airlines, destinations and tour operators can rebuild themselves positively for the future.
A 15% discount is available with the discount code: TTG.
Also, to help support the industry during this difficult time the Aviation Festival is offering complimentary access to airlines and airports. In addition to this, due to the recent wave of redundancies, it will be offering access to airline and airport employees who were in employment at an airline or airport between 1 January 2020 and 31 March.
Aviation Festival tickets can be booked here.
