Mandy Shillito, who joined the travel independent in 2009, will leave her job as general manager and take up her new role today (18 November).
“I am really looking forward to my new role and excited about where we take our already very successful business,” Shillito said.
“When you can still achieve outstanding results in the current times it gives me high hopes for the future of the business.”
She plans to invest in e-commerce and launch a “cutting edge” website.
“The first seven weeks of our new financial year have been nothing short of sensational, therefore I have every confidence that we will have another record-breaking year for the company,” she added.
Company chairman Miles Morgan said: “The appointment is simply a reflection of the role Mandy carries out in the business.
“She has been instrumental in the company’s growing success over the past few years including this year’s record performance in a very challenging environment.”
This announcement follows a two-shop expansion by the company, which increased Mile Morgan’s branch network to 18.
It has also recruited a number of former Thomas Cook staff as homeworkers.
