Specially trained wellbeing directors will be deployed throughout every guided holiday operated by Trafalgar, Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold brands, except trips to Australia and New Zealand.
The responsibilities of the wellbeing director will include ensuring that all standards and protocols are being adhered to on the tour, as well as giving guests the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations.
Brett Tollman, chief executive of The Travel Corporation, said: “As we shift to this new normal and as part of TTC’s commitment to provide each guest a greater sense of comfort and care when they travel with us, we have added the support of a specially trained wellbeing director on every guided holiday.”
Wellbeing directors will work alongside each tour’s travel director and trained driver, as a way of offering "added reassurance and confidence" to guests.
TTC has already introduced “stringent” on-the-road protocols for its tours, which the company said would “evolve and be adapted” as regulations in destinations change.
